
The Audio Engineering Society (A.E.S.) is the only association in the world gathering all engineers and students from every branch of Professional Audio. It was founded in 1948 and has active Sections in more than 100 countries.
AES’ main goal is to increase the level of knowledge in the audio community, for which conventions, conferences, and exhibitions are held regularly all over the world.
Andrés Mayo has been President of the Argentine Section, and has recently been elected Vice President for the AES in Latin America, position he took over in October 2005 and which entails the biggest responsibility all over the region.
He is also part of the AES Board of Governors, holding meetings twice a year at the International Conventions, each taking place in Europe and in the US respectively. In 2007, the chosen cities were Vienna and New York.

We proudly present to you the upcoming AES Latin American Conference 2008, New Concepts in Audio that will be held on April 27th, 28th and 29that the World Trade Center in Mexico City, within the Sound:Check Xpo annual event.
For the first time Mexico City will host the most important AES meeting in Latin America, gathering enthusiasts from all countries who will witness the conferences given by highly acclaimed audio professionals.
