Mix Coaching ® is a service designed to fit the needs of a new breed of artists, producers amd audio engineers who are now able to deal with most of their productions in home or semi-professional environments.
The main inconvenience of these recordings is that the acoustic response of the mixing room is unknown and in general the results tend to be quite uneven, even for songs in the same album.
Andrés Mayo Mastering offers the chance to double check the mixes to guarantee that they reach the best possible sound before mastering, even considering the case where there is no professional mastering involved due to budgetary reasons.
When hiring the Mix Coaching ® service, the client will be granted a password to upload the mixes to our secure server, so they can be listened to in less than 24 working hours. The client will get in return a complete report with the status of each mix, regarding audio quality and possible suggestions to improve them. Once the improvements have been made on the client´s side, the process repeats itself until completely satisfied with the audio quality of each one.
This service is not tied to a subsequent mastering service by Andrés Mayo Mastering. Instead, it is an independent service that we provide with the intention of helping low-budget productions that still wish to obtain the best possible sound for their mixes.

Sweet Spot Analysis is a new service oriented to home- and project-studio owners who wish to have a deep knowledge of the acosutic response in their recording, mixing and/or mastering rooms.

In many cases, the measurement of the room´s acoustic response is theoretically correct but such information is not very useful when it comes to actually getting a good sound out of the room. That is due to the fact that most engineers have needs and habits that are quite far away from a flat acoustic response. Many factors play here an important role: the style of the music, the engineer´s experience, the availability of a good monitoring system, etc.

Our Sweet Spot Analysis service not only provides an objective measurement of the room but also focuses in an exhaustive listening session that takes into consideration all of the possible acoustic flaws of the room, trying to adapt its response to the user real needs.
