También queremos felicitar a todos los nominados, en especial a los artistas con los que hemos trabajado en esta oportunidad: Victor Heredia (Mejor álbum artista canción testimonial y de autor), Dani Umpi (Mejor álbum artista masculino pop), Gabo Ferro (Mejor álbum de música clásica), La Charo (Mejor álbum folklore alternativo ) y Luis Pescetti (Mejor álbum infantil). 1) Nomination to the 2018 Gardel Awards We are very excited to announce that our music documentary “CHARCO, Canciones del Río de la Plata” has been nominated for Best TV & Movie Album/Soundtrack on the 20th Edition of the Gardel Awards. CHARCO por el mundo Marsella, Francia: nuestro documental se presentó exitosamente en el Festival Internacional Rencontres du Cinema Sud-Américain de Marseille el 24 y 27 de Marzo en la sala Friche la Belle de Mai, Grand Plateau. Agradecemos a los medios franceses, entre ellos Journal Zibeline y Cultures du Cœur 13, que cubrieron nuestra participación. Rosario, Argentina: El 12 de Abril, el cine "El Cairo" proyectó CHARCO bajo el ciclo ZOOM / Suena Bien, seguido de un set acústico de su protagonista Pablo Dacal. Feria del Libro de Buenos Aires (FILBA): Los tres domingos de la Feria, a las 17 hs, presentaremos un anticipo exclusivo de CHARCO en el stand del Ministerio de Cultura de la Nación. Habrá un panel de debate sobre ;la realización de este documental y contaremos con la presencia de tres geniales músicos uruguayos tocando en vivo: 29 de Abril: Ana Prada CHARCO around the world Marseille, France: our film successfully premiered at the International Rencontres du Cinema Sud-Américain Festival of Marseille on March the 24th and 27th, on the Friche la Belle de Mai, Grand Plateau theatre. We want to thank the French press, specially Journal Zibeline and Cultures du Cœur 13, who wrote about our participation on the Festival. Rosario, Argentina: On April12th, "El Cairo" movie theatre screened CHARCO for the ZOOM / Suena Bien cycle, followed by an acoustic set by its lead Pablo Dacal. Buenos Aires Book Fair (FILBA): During the fair’s three Sundays, we will be showcasing an exclusive look of CHARCO at 5pm on the National Ministry of Culture’s booth. There will be a panel where we will discuss the making of this documentary and we will feature three amazing Uruguayan artists playing live: April 29th: Ana Prada
4) Visita del Ingeniero de Los Beatles a nuestro estudio El pasado 10 de Abril recibimos en nuestro estudio a Geoff Emerick, ingeniero de grabación británico, responsable de discos como Revolver y Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band de The Beatles entre muchísimos otros. Fue un verdadero honor que Emerick haya dispuesto tiempo de su apretadísima agenda para esta visita, y la disfrutamos al máximo. 4) Geoff Emerick, The Beatles’ Engineer visited our studio On April 10th, we received Mr. Geoff Emerick in our studio, legendary British music engineer known for his work on albums such as The Beatles’ Revolver and Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, amongst many others. It was a true honor to have Mr. Emerick make some time on his tight schedule for this visit and we fully enjoyed it.
5) Termina la producción del nuevo disco de La Delio Valdez Después de 6 meses de producción, acabamos de terminar el disco “Sonido Subtropical” producido por Andrés Mayo y Mariano Agustín Fernández en los estudios Sombracine de Buenos Aires. Se trata del primer disco de la banda enteramente integrado por composiciones propias y estará a la venta a mediados del mes de Mayo. Podés escuchar el adelanto del disco acá. 5) Production on La Delio Valdez’s new album is finished: After 6 months of production, we just finished the “Sonido Subtropical” album produced by Andrés Mayo and Mariano Agustín Fernández at Buenos Aires’ Sombracine studios. This is the first album featuring their own compositions and it will be on sale starting this May. You can catch a preview from the record here.
6) Fondo Nacional de las Artes Andrés Mayo fue convocado, junto a los muy reconocidos profesionales Mario Breuer y Popi Spatocco como jurado del Primer Concurso de Proyectos Discográficos del Fondo Nacional de las Artes. El mismo busca apoyar a los sellos discográficos independientes y su convocatoria se encuentra abierta hasta el 17 de Mayo 6) National Fund of Arts Andrés Mayo was summoned, together with renowned professionals Mario Breuer and Popi Spatocco to be the jury for the National Fund of Arts’ First Discographic Projects Contest. This contest aims to support independent record labels; the call is open until May 17th.
7) 360 Sound Experience: El pasado 19 de abril, tuvo lugar el seminario “Produciendo audio de calidad en 360 grados” dictado por Andrés Mayo y Martín Muscatello en TAMABA. La disertación duró más de tres horas, frente a un auditorio completo de 120 localidades. Próximamente anunciaremos presentaciones y trabajos en 360 por concretarse. 7) 360 Sound Experience: The “Producing 360 quality audio” seminar was held on April 19th and was led by Andrés Mayo and Martín Muscatello on TAMABA. The lecture lasted over three hours, with a filled 120 seats auditory. Soon, we will announce new presentations and 360 projects currently in the making.
8) Próximos seminarios: Andrés Mayo dará una Master Class de Mastering en el Encuentro Nacional de Audio y Grabación, programado para el 26 de Abril en la Universidad de Mendoza. En el evento participarán también otros reconocidos profesionales de la industria local. Además, durante los días 25, 26, 27 y 28 de Abril se llevará a cabo Viaje Sonoro, un seminario intensivo sobre audio y producción musical en Traslasierra, Córdoba. Andrés fue invitado a disertar el día 28 de Abril, como parte de un equipo que incluye a Mariano Bilinkis, Germán Daffunchio y a integrantes de la banda “Todo Aparenta Normal” 8) Future seminars: Andrés Mayo will give a Master Class on mastering at the National Audio and Recording Meeting, scheduled for April 26th on the Universidad of Mendoza. The event will also feature other distinguished professionals of our local industry. Viaje Sonoro, an intensive audio and music production seminar, will be held on April 25th through the 28th in Traslasierra, Córdoba. Andrés has been invited to give a lecture on April 28th , as part of a team which includes Mariano Bilinkis, Germán Daffunchio and members of the band “Todo Aparenta Normal”.
