Novedades del estudio Enero 2015 / News from the studio

1) Artistas que masterizaron en nuestro estudio recientemente: En las últimas semanas trabajamos en una gran cantidad de proyectos musicales, entre ellos: Pancho Chévez (del colectivo Mundo Alas liderado por León Gieco), Proyecto Gómez Casa(Arg.), Palo Pandolfo (remixes de Madre Computadora producidos por Matías Parisi), Sebastián Oliveira (Arg.), Mariela Cusa(producido por Mariano Fernández), Les Enfants (Uruguay, producido por Daniel Anselmi), Caracol a contramano (Arg.), Claudio Sosa (Arg.), Herman Klang (Uruguay), Nahuel Bronzini (USA), Lucio Mantel (su nuevo disco "Confín", producido por Manuel Schaller), Tan Biónica ("Hola mi vida", en versiones remixadas de Capri, Dj Deró, Hit Designers y Guarni), Pablo Dacal (su nuevo disco, producido por Juan Jacinto), Derek López (USA) y Martín Rodríguez (producido por Tweety González).

1) Artists who recently mastered their projects with us: In the last few weeks, we worked with artists such as Pancho Chévez (from the Mundo Alas collective led by León Gieco), Proyecto Gómez Casa (Arg.), Palo Pandolfo (“Madre Computadora” remixes, produced by Matías Parisi), Sebastián Oliveira (Arg.), Mariela Cusa (produced by Mariano Fernández), Les Enfants (Uruguay, produced by Daniel Anselmi), Caracol a contramano (Arg.), Claudio Sosa (Arg.), Herman Klang (Uruguay), Nahuel Bronzini (USA), Lucio Mantel (for his new record "Confín", produced by Manuel Schaller), Tan Biónica ("Hola mi vida", remixes by Capri, Dj Deró, Hit Designers and Guarni), Pablo Dacal (for his new record, produced by Juan Jacinto), Derek López (USA) and Martín Rodríguez (produced by Tweety González).

2) Nuestro estudio, como invitado internacional del Festival MúsicaPerú: Los días 15 y 16 de Enero se llevó a cabo el evento más importante de la música peruana, en donde se dieron cita los principales representantes de la industria latinoamericana. Andrés Mayo participó en las rondas de negocios y también dictó un seminario intensivo sobre  “Supervisión de Mezcla y Masterización” en la Universidad Tecnológica de Perú, destinado a mostrar en la práctica las falencias típicas del proceso de producción discográfica, así como las soluciones para llegar al mejor resultado posible.

2) Our company as an international guest of the “Música Perú” Festival: The key figures of the Latin industry were present at the biggest event of the Peruvian music scene, which took place on January the 15th through the 16th.  Andrés Mayo took part of the business meetings and he also gave an intensive seminar on “Mastering and Mix Supervision” at the Peruvian University of Technology, focusing on common mistakes that appear during the recording process and their possible solutions to get to the best result.

3) Actividades en AES (Audio Engineering Society): En las próximas semanas se llevarán a cabo dos importantes Conferencias Internacionales de AES. Entre el 11 y el 13 de Febrero se realizará en Londres la Conferencia sobre “Audio para Juegos”, y del 6 al 8 de Marzo se llevará a cabo en la ciudad de Los Angeles la Conferencia sobre “Audio para TV, Cine e Internet”. 

3) Activities at AES (Audio Engineering Society): In the next few weeks, AES will hold two major International Conferences. The 56th Conference will focus on “Audio for Games”  and it will be held in London on February 11th through the 13th, whilst the 57th Conference will focus on “The Future of Audio Entertainment Technology” and it will be held in Los Angeles on March 6th through 8th.

4) Comienza la postulación a los Premios Latin Grammy® 2015: Como todos los años, elegimos entre los discos que pasaron por nuestro estudio a los artistas independientes latinoamericanos con discos sobresalientes y los ayudamos a postularse a los premios de la Academia Latina de Grabación. Este año contaremos con una excelente selección de más de 20 artistas!

4) The submission process for the 2015 Latin Grammy Awards® is about to start: As is tradition, we are selecting some of the most outstanding independent Latin artists that have worked with us this past year, and helping them in their submission process for the Latin Recording Academy awards.  This year, we have narrowed it down to an excellent group of a little over 20 artists!

5) Prensa del estudio: El Ing. Andrés Mayo fue entrevistado junto a profesionales de renombre internacional para un artículo sobre calidad de sonido del CD vs. Vinilo, de gran repercusión, que esta semana fue la nota de tapa de la publicación norteamericana LA Weekly.

5) The studio in the press: Andres Mayo was interviewed with several other renowned international professionals for an article on the CD vs. Vinyl sound quality debate, of great repercussion, that this week has been the cover story of the LA Weekly.
